Voiding (Deleting) eMessages
1. When you first enter eMessages a Select An Option window will display the following options:
- EXIT – Select EXIT to exit the eMessages option.
- Send Text – Select Send Text to send a simple text message.
- Send File – Select Send File to send a file that you created.
- Send Message – Select Send Message to send a message.
- Send Stored Message – Select Send Stored Message to send a stored message.
- Message Maintenance – Select Message Maintenance to create message groups and then assign these groups messages.
Select Message Maintenance.
2. A Select A Message Group window will appear with the following options:
- EXIT – Select EXIT to exit and return to the Select An Option window.
- ADD Message Group – Select ADD Message Group to add an eMessage group.
- A list of message groups defined in the system.
To delete a message:
Scroll to the message group that contains the message that needs to be deleted and press Enter to confirm your selection.
2. A Select A Message Group For Group (Group ID) window will appear with the following options:
- EXIT – Select EXIT to exit and return to the Select A Message Group.
- ADD Message – Select ADD Message to add a new stored message for the message group.
- A list of stored messages defined in the system.
Scroll to the stored message that needs to be deleted and press Enter to confirm your selection.
3. Command options will appear:
- Send – Select Send to send the email to the list of recipients found for each category and role selected.
- Audience – Select Audience to modify the list of categories to send the email to.
- Body – Select Body to edit the body of the free form email (F=free form) or select a HTML file (H=HTML) to use as the body of the email.
- Change – Select Change to change the subject line of the email file attachment or body of the message.
- Update – Select Update to save changes.
- View – Select View to view the attachment, if the attachment is an HTML file.
- Delete – Select Delete to delete the message.
- Exit – Select Exit to exit and return to the Select A Message For (Group ID).
Select Delete. The message will be deleted.
4. You will be returned to the Select A Message For (Group XX) window.
- EXIT – Select EXIT to exit and return to the Select A Message Group.
- ADD Message – Select ADD Message to add a new stored message for the message group.
- A list of stored messages defined in the system.
Select EXIT to exit.
5. At Select A Message Group window will appear with the following options:
- EXIT – Select EXIT to exit and return to the Select An Option window.
- ADD Message Group – Select ADD Message Group to add an eMessage group.
- A list of message groups defined in the system.
Select EXIT to exit.
6. At the Select An Option window select EXIT to exit eMessages and return to the User menu.
To delete a message group
1. Follow the instructions above on how to delete eMessages for a selected message group (above).
2. When all eMessages for the message group have been deleted, you will return to the Select a Message Group for (Group XX) window. The following options will display:
- EXIT – Select EXIT to exit and return to the Select A Message Group window.
- ADD Message – Select ADD Message to add a new eMessage for the message group.
- Delete Message Group XX – Select Delete Message Group XX to delete the message group.
Select Delete Message Group XX and press Enter to confirm your selection.
3. "Delete Message Group XX. No/Yes" will appear.
- Select no to exit and return to the Select A Message Group window.
- Select yes to delete the message group.
